Life is pretty good right now. I've got my kiln in the basement, awaiting hookup; my wheel is down there and working; and I got to start throwing pieces again yesterday and got 4 off the wheel, so I'm starting to feel more like myself again, now that I've got my creative outlet back. Yay!
Also, and more importantly, our trip to North Carolina went really well! My family on my mom's side (the only family I had there) all loved ~RJFord86 as I knew they would, and they were actually asking if there would be a wedding next year for them to go to, even before he got to ask my dad for permission. It was driving me crazy because I wanted to tell them all yes, but I couldn't tell them before I told my parents. That would be unfair to them. All I could do was smile. But, my dad was asked, in the "Would you mind if Sam and I did all this?"/waving the arm around to encompass the whole reception kind of way, which was responded to in the "All of what?" way. But once he said get married, my dad was all "Yeah, I'd be okay with that." And I could see the relief flood his face from across the room. ~RJFord86 was so cute and he makes me so happy
